Opel Corsa Utility Rogue

Delta extends Opel Corsa Utility bakkie line-up

Delta has introduced a limited-edition Utility 1.6i Rogue to the Corsa bakkie line-up to cater for buyers wanting more than just basic transport in the commercial sector of the market.

While the Rogue is officially a bakkie and is sold in the half-ton commercial vehicle segment of the market, it is more of car in terms of performance, drivability and standard equipment.

Power is from Opel's proven 1600-mill, with figures rated as 75 kW and 139Nm of torque. But it is in terms of the décor that the Rogue really shines.

Standard equipment include height-adjustable driver's sports seat, jacquard cloth, digital radio with a front loading CD player and remote display, digital clock, ambient temperature gauge, rev counter, power steering and air-conditioning - more than just basic and very car-like indeed. Outside, the Rogue is distinguished by wide black body side mouldings, sliding rear widow (tinted glass all round), roof spoiler, engine sump guard, high-ride package, front bull bar, front driving lamps, body side striping package and an exterior mounted roll bar in the load bed, which also has a rubber mat. Wheels are a new-design 14-inch alloy with 185/65 HR 14 tyres, while a special badge rounds off the package.

There are dual side impact protection bars and pre-wiring for easy cell phone installation.

According to Delta, buyers have a choice of the full range of Corsa colours. The standard warranty is 3 years/100 000 km, as well as a 36 month anti corrosion warranty and a one year year roadside assistance plan. Service intervals are every 15 000 kilometers.
